Spectrum Interactive now extends its offering of complementary products and services to marinas in the UK & Ireland with the supply of ruggedised products from Mobotix and Davis.

Mobotix are a leading international manufacturer of digital, high-resolution video systems and Davis manufacture professional wireless or cabled weather stations for official weather reporting in all marine environments. Together these 2 products are combined to show berth holders, marina staff and global website visitors a live high resolution image with live localised weather information.

These high resolution cameras are able to capture larger images than conventional cameras, therefore fewer cameras are required and costs are reduced. Furthermore, the cameras do not require lens or positioning motors; without these moving parts, the cameras are so robust that maintenance and associated cost is reduced to a minimum.

The most important factor of the Spectrum WeatherCam solution is that, when used in conjunction with the Spectrum Marina WiFi Network, it can be installed anywhere in the marina where power is available. Even on external jetties/ pontoons.
